Sweden The market for Swedish public procurement annually amounts to an estimated 40 Billion EUR. All calls for tenders both below and above the threshold values are subject to being published in an electronic database. There is no such phenomenon as an official database, and the state has pointed out very clearly that it is up to the market to deliver solutions. As a result, Swedish public procurement market has developed into a forum with several private companies. Most of them meet the requirements of "publicly available databases" according to Swedish legislation, PPA. The predominant player in Sweden is Allego working directly together with purchasers who wish to publish their advertisements. Being the sole "concentrator" in Sweden, Allego enables electronic transmission of TED-documents for publication in the TED database. In Allego's database ajour.se virtually all Swedish calls for tenders are to be found. All advertisments are available without cost on the most basic sorting level. Refined versions of the same information service based on groups of products and geography are offered at a monthly cost starting off at SEK 100. |
